Seychelles is taking the lead in promoting regional tourism and will host the Travel and Tourism Mart in 2014. Veteran Seychelles’ artist Despilly William has launched a new promotional DVD containing eleven hits, amid scenes portraying the pristine beauty of the islands.The DVD, named "Bonzour Sesel", follows months of shooting and casting and also features an interview with the artist who is one of the Seychelles’ oldest and best known performing artists.He began composing and singing in the 1960s and hits on the DVD include his old-time favourites such as Beau Vallon and Mardilo. The Vanilla Islands of Comoros, Mayotte, Madagascar, Mauritius, Reunion and Seychelles stand to benefit from more recognition, with the popular Reunion’s ‘7 Magazine’ dedicating a weekly full page to the regional grouping.The last issue in June carried a report on the last ministerial meeting of the organisation that was held in Madagascar earlier this month.
